Zavec farms 26 ha on steep Haloze ridges of marl and sandstone left by the ancient Pannonian Sea. Kugl Red ferments with native yeasts for up to 18 days and rests twelve months on fine lees in barrique. Expect blueberry-and-black-cherry fruit framed by fine tannin and a saline finish.
