At 12–14 °C the wine slides easily: low-lying clay soils near Mazara del Vallo keep Frappato juicy with strawberry and violet lift, while a gentle saline aftertaste cleans the palate. Four months in stainless leave nothing but freshness.

Junco is just 2.4 hectares of Frappato beside a lake at Tenuta Gazzerotta, planted on mineral clays barely 20 m above sea level. Pellegrino ferments the fruit cool and slow in stainless, with four months ageing and no oak. Wild strawberry, violet and a quiet saline finish stay intact.
