Organic wine

Wine made from organically grown grapes under defined processing rules. Those rules concern growing and production, not a particular taste.

Explained simply

Organic wine starts in the vineyard: the grapes grow under organic rules, and rules also apply in the cellar. The label tells you how the wine was made—not whether it will taste of apple, cherry or herbs.

In more detail

Organic wine must be made from certified organically grown grapes. EU rules also limit certain cellar processes and inputs, including lower permitted sulphur levels than for comparable conventional wine. Certification describes production; it does not guarantee a particular flavour.
