Salinity

Salinity describes a flavour impression that reminds you of salt.

How it works

It is a tasting description, not a statement of table-salt content. The impression alone also does not reveal where the grapes grew.

How to use this when choosing

If you enjoy it, look for a specific description such as a salty finish. Mineral is less precise because it can also refer to a smell.
