Can Marlès

Hidden in the hills of El Montmell, Can Marlès is Lucía Pombo’s return to the vineyards she knew as a child. She brought old farmhouses back to life and built an organic wine project around the estate’s own grapes. At 540 metres, the vines grow in clay and limestone, producing small batches of Penedès wines with a sense of place. The estate is also home to protected Suri alpacas, living semi-free among woodland and vines. Six arrived in 2016, and the herd has since grown. Visitors can meet them, explore the vineyards and taste the wines — a glimpse of the place behind every bottle.
