Skin-contact Furmint brings quince and red apple over a light tannic grip, great with grilled turbot finished in brown butter. Old vines on Haloze marl and sandstone keep the finish dry and slightly salty.

Haloze’s 49-year-old Furmint terraces sit on ancient marl and sandstone, pushing a clear mineral line. Zdenka and Janez Zavec let wild yeast start fermentation and keep the juice on skins for five days before eight months of lees aging. The wine is bottled unfiltered.
